This course follows on from the Level 1 Sailing course. It is also recommended for those sailors who have not sailed for some time and need a refresher.

Sailors will start by sailing on our double or single handed dinghies to build on skills such as tacking, gybing and following a course around the marks. They will be introduced to the rules of racing and  to some basic racing skills towards the end of the course. Sailors will also be given the opportunity to try their hand at single handed sailing once they have gained sufficient confidence. On successful completion of this course, adults can then progress to the club’s intermediate course. This course is only open to Vikings Sailing Club members. Description

This course is aimed at adult sailors who have completed the introduction to sailing or level 1 course. During this course, sailors will sail mostly on double handed boats under the supervision of a coach. They will build up on the skills they have learnt during level 1 to be able to sail confidently around a course on their own. The course will consist of 6 sessions of 2.5 hours each.
