We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sailing coach to join our coaching team at Vikings Sailing Club. The successful candidate will work with a diverse group of sailors, from beginners to advanced, and will have the opportunity to help them improve their skills and achieve their goals on the water.
The coach will be responsible for leading practice sessions and providing instruction and feedback to sailors in order to help them improve their sailing skills.

As part of the European Week of Sport #BEACTIVE initiatives, the club will be organising a day of sailing on the 25th of September from 9am – 5pm. We will be offering 1 hour taster sessions for beginners all day while members can come down for a sail with their own boat or rent out one of our club boats.

Our four topper world sailors, Gary Mercieca, Daniel Agius, Andrea Vella and Toby Piasecki are back from the topperworlds after giving a good show. Gary ranked 27th in the 5.3 fleet out of 144 sailors while Daniel ranked 10th in the 4.3 fleet despite dislocating his knee 1 week before the event and missing 3 races due to illness. Andrea came 27th and Toby 63rd in the silver fleet.

Our four topper world sailors, Gary Mercieca, Daniel Agius, Andrea Vella and Toby Piasecki will once again be organising an activity to raise money for their participation in the topperworlds in Garda where over 160 sailors will be participating.

Support four of our sailors, Gary Mercieca, Daniel Agius, Andrea Vella and Toby Piasecki who will be traveling to Garda from the 23rd to the 29th July to represent Malta in the Topper Worlds. These 4 sailors were selected after a qualifying event which consisted of a number of races and they were the top 4 ranked sailors. To help cover some of their costs, the club will be assisting them in organising some fund raising events. Daniel, Andrea and Toby joined the club through the Sportmalta on the move programme a number of years ago and moved on to more advanced programmes while Gary has been sailing for a number of years and together with Andrea and Daniel form part of the youth coaching team.

he Club will be holding an open day on the 28th of May. On the day you can book a sail on one of our teaching boats and enjoy a mini group session with one of our coaches lasting an hour around the harbour.
