Join us for a series of races on the 8th of January. The Regatta is open to boats which either have an RYA Portsmouth Yardstick (including both the PY Current Base List as well as the Limited Data PY List), or which have Approximated PYs. Booking will remain open for up to 48 hours before the start of the race. The 10th of December is the last session for a number of our sailing courses. The club will therefore be holding a pasta night to celebrate. As part of the European Week of Sport #BEACTIVE initiatives, the club will be organising a day of sailing on the 25th of September from 9am – 5pm. We will be offering 1 hour taster sessions for beginners all day while members can come down for a sail with their own boat or rent out one of our club boats. Our taster sails are very popular so advance booking is recommended. During the taster sail, our coaches will be giving a mini lesson while sailing around Marsamxett harbour. Our four topper world sailors, Gary Mercieca, Daniel Agius, Andrea Vella and Toby Piasecki are back from the topperworlds after giving a good show. Gary ranked 27th in the 5.3 fleet out of 144 sailors while Daniel ranked 10th in the 4.3 fleet despite dislocating his knee 1 week before the event and missing 3 races due to illness.
