Discover our sailing courses for children, teenagers and adults. 

This programme is aimed at sailors who wish to get the most advanced sailing experience from the club. It is aimed for sailors who have been sailing with the club for some time and wish to improve their skills. Sessions last 3 hours and mostly take place outside Marsamxett harbour. Sailors can use their own boat or use the club's toppers. 
We aim to build confidence and competence in young sailors. During this course, we build on foundations and develop new skills so that the sailors feel comfortable and in control in their boats in a variety of conditions. Sailors will have a solid grounding in the sport and the tools they need to pursue it further, in whatever capacity they choose.
Set sail for adventure with our RS Feva sailing class! Learn the ropes of sailing on this versatile and exciting double-handed boat. With the help of our experienced instructors you will take your basics to new heights
The adult intermediate course acts as a fun, relaxed way for adults to improve their sailing. An opportunity to spend time on the water and to practice and gain confidence in the boat. This course is open to Vikings members only.
This course is aimed at those sailors who have successfully completed level 1. Sailors will sail on our single handed or double handed boats which will be assigned by the coach according to their weight and level.  They will continue building on the foundations of sailing such as the points of sail, posture and balance.
This group is for those interested in taking sailing a step further and participate in regattas. This group trains regularly on Saturdays. Additional training may be planned in advance especially before an event.
This beginners course is aimed for those adults who have no sailing experience. We have a low instructor to sailing ratio so individual attention is guaranteed. The sessions will take place on our teaching boats under the supervision of an instructor. By the end of the course you will be acquire basic skills such as rigging, basic knots, tacking, gybing and sailing around a course.
A course designed for all ages (13 years and older), packed with key skills and knowledge needed to confidently master the art of spinnaker sailing. This course is open to those sailors who have sailed at least one term of intermediate sailing. It will last for 5 sessions and will be held using the club's RS Fevas.
The Optimist Intermediate programme is open to kids who have completed the level two course. It offers young sailors an opportunity to have fun playing games on the water and to get better at sailing, and for both parents and kids to become involved with the community of the club.
This course follows on from the Level 1 sailing course. Sailors will spend most of the sessions on single or double handed dinghies learning how to tack, gybe and follow a course around the marks.
Due to popular demand, we have just launched this new group for those sailors that wish to take sailing one step further. While not as intensive as the youth performance racing groups, sessions will give sailors a taste of race training making it ideal for those sailors who are interested in club racing. Minimum requirements are the completion of a level 2 sailing course.
This group is for those interested in participating in local and international regattas. Coached by performance coach Batuhan Cesur, this group trains regularly on Saturdays with additional race practice sessions on Sundays.
This group is for those sailors who wish to take part in local ranking regattas and international events. Sailors also have the opportunity to qualify  and take part in the International Topperworlds which take place yearly in July. The club competes in this international event with very promising results.
